How to use MiiMusic Playlist Editor
Using the Mii Playlist Editor is very easy. The following tutorial is written just to be complete, read it if you feel uncomfortable about using the MiiMusic Playlist editor for the first me, but trust me, it isn't really required.....
Step 1:
The first time you start the MiiMusic Playlist Editor it is 'empty', as shown in Figure 1: The 'empty' MiiMsic Playlist Editor screen.
First thing to do is to search your computer for mp3 music files. Use the 'Select and Scan Directory' button for that purpose. A dialog box opens to select the directory (including all sub-directories) to search. Note that the searching process can be canceled by hitting the 'Cancel Search' button which shows up during searching.
The found music will show up in the window under the 'Search button'.
It is possible to select an entire directory with all music in it or individual tracks
Step 2:
Following step is to create a new playlist. Hit the 'New Playlist' button for that purpose. The window as shown in Figure 2: New Playlist window. Just type the name of your playlist, e.g. your name.
If this wasn't the first playlist you could decide to copy the content of another playlist as default content. Choose 'Accept, Create new I Playlist' button to continue.
Step 3:
Now select the music you want to add to the playlist, see Figure 3: Select music and 'Add to Playlist'. After Selecting music from the 'search list' the 'Add to playlist' button is enabled. Select this button to copy the selected music to the playlist window.
Step 4:
Save the playlist, see Figure 4: Save Playlist.
Notice that older playlist may contain references to files that are deleted. These files are displayed in red, and can easily be remove from the list using the 'clean button'
Step 5:
If not already running, start the MiiServer. If the MiiMusic icon is displayed in the right lower corner of your screen, the tray icon bar, then it is running.
The Playlist can be selected in the MiiMusic Player that can be started on the Wii by browsing to 'www.miimusic.com'.
Alternatively (but hardly never required) you can specify the local IP as shown in your MiiMusic Playlist Editor, or as displayed via the MiiServer info feature (right-click on the little MiiServer icon in the lower-right corner of your screen) as input in the URL field of the Wii Webbrowser.
Step 6:
Enjoy, for the rest your on your own. Deleting playlists and adding removing music from a playlist is straightforward.
